They create a fun, informal, social setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development.

Music Together® Director, Sue has been entertaining audiences, young and old since she was 6 years old. Born in Portland, Maine, music and theater have always been a part of her life. Inspired by her children, she began writing children's songs in the summer of 1995 and released her first album, Love Buddies, a collection of 10 songs written and sung by Sue Sheriff.(www.suesheriff.com). She released her second album, Believe in Yourself, which won a national Parent's Choice Recommendation Award in 1998. In August 2005, Sue released a CD that combines both of these fun and educational song collections. Along with extensive performing regionally, Sue became a Music Together Director in 1999. She has just completed an illustrated children's book and accompanying CD about Peace, entitled "In Harmony and other Songs of Peace.http://www.suesheriff.com She resides in North Yarmouth with her husband, Barry and their two children, Josh and Haley.

Pauline began her performing career in grade school. The appreciation for music she enjoys today has been nurtured by singing and playing the guitar in numerous plays and variety shows. Pauline's vocal stylings have entertained audiences throughout her professional career as a lead singer in local bands featuring Country, Pop and Easy Listening music; as well as countless weddings and special occasions. She provided back-up choral support for national recording artists producing albums near her hometown of Barre, MA. Pauline became a Music Together teacher in 2000. She resides in Scarborough, Maine with her husband, Paul, daughters,Emily and Grace and their Golden-Doodle, Hallie.

Matt grew up in a musical family and has chosen to pursue a career as a musician/teacher through his business, EarthJams. He recently graduated from Bowdoin College with a degree in biology and music and works in the mid coast Maine area doing music with children. Besides teaching Music Together classes and singing in daycare centers, he directs children's choruses through the Brunswick, Bath, Topsham and Freeport Recreation Departments. He also conducts workshops for preschool and elementary school children. Matt attended the Music Together training in December 2005 and has been teaching classes ever since in the Brunswick area as well as in Yarmouth.

Jim attended classes with his nephew, Nate for two years before deciding to become a Music Together teacher himself in the summer of 2007. Jim has taught private instrumental lessons for over fifteen years, after receiving a music degree from Bates College. He's been involved in a wide variety of music and sound-related projects over the years. Some of his favorites: playing electric bass with an afro-pop dance band; singing in a professional Renaissance choir; creating live "foley" sound-effects for a play; co-producing a radio comedy show; scoring an independent film. His (other) favorite current project is helping to develop a circus with developmentally challenged adult performers. Jim brings lots of fun to Music Together with the wide assortment of musical instruments that he brings to his classes.

Leigh has been involved in musical theater for over 20 years. She is a talented performer as well as makeup artist and stage director. She has been an assistant Dance teacher at Small Steps School of Dance in Scarborough.She is currently performing in Lyric Music Theater's "The Producers". Her passion for music, dance, theatre and her love of children make her a wonderful addition to Music Together of Greater Portland.
